A shout out to my Florence Ladies
Since coming to Florence I have met many AMAZING people but I feel it is worth mentioning four in particular that have blessed me with something I hold near and dear to my heart: friendship.
Meghan - meghs is amazing, smart, real, honest, beautiful, and a good time. She’s been a consistent smile throughout my experience here in Florence, and I’m so blessed to have met her!

Rome...
nuf said…. jkjk! seriously though. Rome was quite the Marathon. There’s quite a bit I won’t talk about, mainly everything that occurred between midnight and 9am fri night/sat morning. Needless to say, I’m comfortable with the fact that I’m done with Rome, and I’m sure Rome is done with me :)
Friday was a marathon. We arrived first thing in the morning, hit up...
growing up
I think one of the most valuable things I’m learning as I grow older is the importance of remaining as honest with yourself as possible with the thoughts you have, actions you take and ideas you manifest into reality. Even when bad decisions are made or negative thoughts are had, in order to move to a place of comfort in your heart with those life experiences, self honesty is a must. I...
Lemoncello
Allow me to take a moment to introduce you to the wonders of Alcohol special to the Tuscany region and how awesome it is… oh ya and maybe some pre-info on my life leading up to this post.
For those of you who don’t know, I was a Community Advisor for 2 years, and while that position title hasn’t stopped excessive drinking for many in the past, in a way it did for me. To be very...
Art History
To give you an idea of my Art History class, I’d like to explain the structure of our class today. We met in our regular lecture classroom to discuss the syllabus. Our Professador gave us a 30 minute coffee break to take a rest and then meet him in the Piazza de Republica. We then spent the rest of our time discussing the Piazza’s importance and meanings. It was the post interactive,...

Rick Steves’ shout out

Butts of a Joke!
I am sleepy, so I will keep this poco (small) but I noticed my previous posts have been very narrative, not so reflective… so here we go.
Today at dinner, I think I was a butt of a joke! My host Familia had friends over for dinner. They speak no English, and are true Italians at that! Max was teaching me and Lindsay to count from 1 to 10. When we got to ten, there was so much exchange...
Arrival! Finally...
Hey all!
Travels here were safe and fun. There were no major hickups. On our first flight from Minneapolis to Paris we were about 1 hour delayed on the airstrip because the left engine would not start (but apparently no big deal because they just got the plane back to the gate, opened some valve, and started it right up!). We left Minneapolis at 4pm and arrived Paris at 7:25am their time. It was...
